I apologize for not having a photo. For whatever reason, the site won't let me upload one. I have my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have one year professional experience in toddler and preschool classrooms plus three years experience in a church nursery with all ages under four. I have a toddler godson that I have helped raise since birth, so I am comfortable bathing, changing, feeding, rocking and interacting with infants. I also worked as a kindergarten aide and a first grade music teacher. Though I have experience with a wide range of ages, I prefer to work with children under the age of three. I would be willing to work for a family that has an older child who would be there part-time. I have some experience with Autism and a little experience with Cerebral Palsy. I am more than willing to learn about any special Read more need or ability, and I will put in the extra effort it takes to properly care for these children. I also have experience with multiples (triplet infants). I love to sing and I have many children's CD's to listen to. I have my own transportation and can transport children to and from activities or school. I am patient and can calmly handle a temper tantrum or a crying baby. I like to let children learn from their own mistakes. I have experience in potty training and can handle the clean-up of accidents while making sure the child knows that accidents happen and they can make it to the potty next time. I am compassionate and taking care of children is what I love to do. I am also an animal lover and have owned dogs my whole life along with hamsters and more recently, rats, so I am comfortable with most animals. If it's nice out, I am willing to take the child(ren) and dog(s) out for a walk or to play outside. I can also bring my boots and roll around in the snow. I am comfortable bathing infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and helping them eat while teaching them simple responsibilities such as taking their plate to the kitchen when they're finished eating or helping clean up a spill, plus more advanced responsibilities for older children. I see children as a valuable part of the human life cycle who deserve respect and understanding. I understand and respect that as the parents (or legal guardian), you have the most knowledge about your child(ren) and I will learn from you. I hope to work as part of a team to help raise your child through daily communication and cooperation.
