I am currently in my first year of graduate school for occupational therapy at Stony Brook University. I have always wanted a career where I could work with children. I have shadowed multiple occupational therapists who worked with children with behavioral and social disabilities. From that experience, I've enjoyed forming one on one relationships with the child in hopes that I could help them reach their full potential in society. During my undergraduate studies at University of Miami, I was part of a research team that administered assessment tests to elementary students all over Miami. We had to verbally give the test to each child individually and study their behavior. In high school, I tutored younger children in mainly math and also assisted a teacher in running an after school art club for 4th and 5th graders. However most of my passion came from being around my niece and nephews. Read more I have a niece (5 years old) and two nephews (8 and 10 years old) that I live with, so I have experience taking care of them on my own. I also have many little cousins that I have babysat for. I currently hold a Bachelor's Degrees in Health Sciences.
