"The soul is healed by being with children." For me, this proverb has always been true, and it is why I love being a caregiver. I have been surrounded by kids as far back as I can remember, and I’m certain I would not be the person I am today were it not for those wonderfully enthusiastic little beings. Their lively imaginations and their unabashed goofiness continually bring a smile to my face. My care giving days began at the age of four when I was entrusted with the lifelong responsibility of looking out for my baby sister. Since then, I've babysat for several families (including those of my older siblings), I've coached gymnastics, I've been a camp counselor, I've assisted at dance and cheer clinics, I've participated in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, I've tutored children in reading, and I've earned a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education through Kent State Read more University. Children are the future. Thus it is my belief that every child deserves unconditional love, guidance, and support. It gives me great pleasure to help kids expand their minds, cultivate their creativity, and most of all enjoy life. This is why I am a great care giver (not to toot my own horn)—I’m passionate, and I love investing my time in things that matter. I am also inherently patient, friendly, and encouraging. And to top it all off, I am CPR/AED and First Aid Certified by the American Health Care Academy.
