My name is Rebecca and I am 24 years old. Before I was even born, my father became disabled while serving in the United States Air Force. For the majority of my childhood, I helped my hearing impaired mother take care of my father. Once I became a teenager, I became my fathers sole care giver. From spending my childhood taking care of my father and aiding my hearing impaired mother, I was able to mature and grow up more quickly than others. I am stronger and more responsible from my experiences. I've grown to be a loving and caring young adult and I would love to help take care of your children and help them grow up to be a loving and caring person as well! (I am willing to teach children American Sign Language!) Starting this fall of 2015, I am beginning my college career majoring in Education with Read more the goals of becoming an early childhood educator. From September 2014 to May 2015, I cared for an infant (born June 2014) every Tuesday evening in Pasadena, Maryland. I cared for the infant for the in between hours of the mother leaving for work and waiting for the father to return home. I very much enjoyed caring after her and watching her grow. I would have continued to care for the infant, but I moved out of the state of Maryland. From October 2011 to August 2012, I was a nanny for a family in Phoenix, Arizona with four children; a set of five year old twins, an eleven year old and a twelve year old. Primarily, I looked after the twins and took care of the older children before and after school. I helped to educate the children and cared for them as if they were my own. I became a part of the family and they will always be a part of my life. I had a great experience nannying for this family and I hope to find another similar to them.
