have been babysitting/nannying for about 13 years now. It started with being the oldest of all my cousins - of course I was the one who would babysit as soon as I was old enough. In college, I nannied full time for a family who I kept a 3 year relationship with, and am still in contact with now. I've nannied for infants (mom was still on maternity leave when I started) all the way up to kids aged 13. I am open to what age I work with, but I would have to say that my favorite age is 6-12 months and also 2-3 years. But, its also so much fun to do art projects and explore our city with the older ones! I am a freelance photographer and designer. I studied photography and graphic design at Kent State University. I also teach darkroom photography classes occasionally at the Read more Cleveland Print Room, where I am a member. I love working with kids because they are natural artists. I love creating with them and seeing the world through their eyes. I also worked for about 5 years in the healthcare industry. I was an Activities Director at nursing homes. It is how I see being a nanny, just on the other spectrum - I was working with the elderly. My job was to keep them active, engaged, learning and growing. Each of my residents had care plans and goals - and I worked hard to meet them. I planned educational, creative, physical, spiritual activities that would help them to stay active and engaged. I organize my nanny jobs in a similar way. If you are a family who values creativity and new experiences for your children, I am the nanny for you. I love taking kids to museums, parks, going on walks, making art - staying active!
