My name is Kim. I first went to a vocational school a long time ago for early childhood education. After high school I worked in a couple different childcare centers around the west side of Cincinnati. I have worked with newborns all the way to 12 years old. I also had child care in my home. I had all ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. I did this for 6 years until it interfered with my husbands work schedule. I had children in my home from 6am until sometimes the following day. I was working a lot of hours. During the day I made healthy snacks and meals. We had craft time, went on outings, and learned a lot. I needed more family time to spend with my husband and 5 children. I then became a bus driver. This would still allow me to work with children but not Read more so many hours. I am still driving a bus until the end of this school year. I am sad not to be able to do it any more. They have taken away to many hours and I can't go backwards on money. These last 2 weeks will be the hardest I seem to get attached. I love all the kids I drive and will miss them. The reason I think I am good at being a Nanny or Sitter is because children are my heart. No matter what I do in life it has to involve kids. I have been told by friends that is all I think about. For me it is the excitement in their eyes. I can see when they get happy for finally learning something. Children are awesome and it is bitter sweet and scary changing professions. I have 3 kids this summer Monday-Wednesday starting June 6th until the end of July. So I am so far open Thursday and Friday until August 1st then I am open for full time. I am going to get my cpr again as soon as I have time.
