I have worked as a nanny to two twin girls for an entire school year, and three summers in a row. My responsibilities were to make sure the children arrived at scheduled appointments on time, prepare meals, oversee completion of school assignments, light cleaning and organizing the home, confirming professional appointments and returning domestic phone calls. I also have experience working for a family with a six-year-old boy and twelve year old girl. I took care of the dishes, trash, laundry, vacuuming/mopping, and care for the family dog as well as preparing dinner for the children. I also picked the children up from their different schools, took them to appointments, after school activities, and lessons they were involved in. When they did not have scheduled activities, I planned fun days including mini-golf, movies, ice cream, and trips to their favorite stores or parks. My duties for the family included making bottles from formula, feeding, changing, and putting the infant down for a nap as well as taking the girls to the pool. Sidewalk chalk, coloring, playing dress up with costumes, walks around the neighborhood, and special days out to lunch and playgrounds/indoor play-places kept us busy for the summer. This job gave me experience not only with supervision at a pool/playground setting but confidence in caring for an infant, as well as two other siblings.
