I am a third-year speech-language pathology and special education student at Saint Louis University. I spent three years working at Stepping Stones Center leading multiple groups of children and adults with mental and physical disabilities in day camp activities. Because of that experience, I am very comfortable working with individuals with disabilities, and I have three years of background knowledge on implementing day camp activities that are fun, engaging, and educational. For three years during the school year, I have babysat a house of about 20 children of teenage mothers from ages of newborn to about 7. I also spent two years running an after school program for elementary and middle school students, most of whom have disabilities. I spent last summer nannying for a family of two children, ages 12 and 14, and I have experience babysitting for neighborhood children.
