I have cared for children from a variety of ages as well as cultures. I have had experience volunteering in a 60 child orphanage in Ghana that housed children ages 0 - 19 years old. The responsibilities included cooking, cleaning, bathing kids, serving meals, and playing with the kids all to standard Ghanaian cultural practices. At Ohio State, I supervise a floor of 55 students; mediating roommate conflicts, educational and diverse programming, and emotional support are all skills I provide to residents daily. I volunteered with and will be head of the Education Outreach, responsible for attending elementary after-school programs and teaching about Public Health and healthy lifestyles to children.
