I have experience as a childcare provider from 1994 to the present. I take care of children in their family's homes. My most important responsibility is making sure the children are well taken care of and spending quality time with them. I enjoy reading to children of all ages and incorporating music into our days. I like to go to the library and select books to bring with me to read with the children as well as appropriate music CD's for the children which we sing along with and do finger plays. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with the children. I typically always take the children outside to play and/or take walks every day as long as weather permits. I typically prepare and serve all meals and snacks needed for the children while they are in my care and clean up afterwards. Prior to being a nanny/babysitter, I operated my own in-home daycare for children for 9 years. I cared for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5-years-old. I planned and served daily meals and snacks. I taught an in-home preschool program. The children had both indoor and outdoor play. I read to the children daily as we had story times throughout the day. We played music and sang songs. I also provided a daily activity log to parents at the end of each day which summarized the child's day including nap times, meals, activities, diaper changes, etc. Infants were rocked, cuddled and given tender loving care. I have taken classes in early childhood education as well as continuing education/training classes. I am certified in CPR and trained in First Aid. I also have a background check which I will give families access to who have interviewed me and are interested in hiring me. I have three adult daughters who were young children at the time I ran the daycare and enjoyed playing with the children I cared for. We had a lot of fun filled days! I am a patient, calm and nurturing caregiver.
