Unlike most Nannys', I definitely had an early start at childcare experience. My older sister had twins when I was eight years old so right after we brought them home from the hospital I began learning how to take excellent care of them. Between my older brother having three kids and my sister having four kids, I have had more experience taking care of children than most people my age. Since a very young age, I have spent my summers watching kids and I have loved every minute of it. My mother was a Nanny and childcare center director for her career. So when I was young I was able to go to work with her and gained first hand experience with professional childcare. Between taking kids to summer camp, helping them fundraise for weekend retreats, cheering them on at sporting events, and just spending time with them, I have learned so much about growth the importance of being a care provider who actually cares and is involved in their lives. I have been blessed with so many opportunities to take care of children from the age range of newborns to teenagers. Through many enjoyable experiences I have learned that taking care of kids brings me so much joy and I have clearly grasped the responsibility and stance that is needed to be taken in order to be a successful care provider.
