Hi, my name is Jess. Recently, I moved to Asheville with hopes of finding the perfect family to nanny for. Since I moved, I have been working part-time at a coffee shop as well as 2 short term childcare jobs. Now that school has started, it seems like the perfect time to further my career in child care. Ever since I was young, nannying has been my dream. Watching kids is what I love to do and I am looking to do more of it. My experience includes, about five years of babysitting and two additional years experience with part time before and after school care. A few years ago, I took a Red cross babysitting course and just last month I renewed my CPR and first aid certifications. As far as details about my previous childcare jobs, I have worked watching groups of six and more children at a Read more time, twins, infants under the age of four months, and kids as old as 12. About a year ago, I had a before and after school care job with one family of five (three kids ages 4, 6,and 10). My responsibilitys included waking the kids up and getting them ready for school/preschool, driving them to school and then any after school activitys for the day. I would always try to get a bit of light house keeping done while I was there because I prefer to stay busy especially if the kids I'm watching are young and have naps.
