AVAILABILITY CHART IS NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH! SCHEDULE VARIES! MESSAGE FOR DETAILS! Hi there prospective families! Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Rachel and I am at school part time for Early Childhood Education! My faith, family and friends are the cornerstone of my life. I am Catholic and that is a very important part of who I am. I come from a family of 5: my parents (both teachers), an older brother and younger sister, who is 10yrs my junior. I am compassionate and responsible with an outgoing and bubbly personality. I am creative and caring. I take initiative, am trustworthy and honest. I do not rely electronics as a fallback activity; instead I plan and present alternatives. Here’s a rundown of my experience: Babysitter (2003-present); Full-time Nanny: 3 summers (2010-12); Assistant Pre-k Teacher: (2012-13); Lead teacher at a daycare: (June 2013-May 2014); Soccer Referee: (2006-present); U-9 State Read more League Soccer Coach (first year); 1-on-1 aide for a camp for special needs students: 2 summers (Summer 2013,2014); Volunteering- in different classrooms: (varied past 14 years); Project MORE/ 1-on-1 volunteer reading tutor: (March 2012-June 2012); Substitute for assistant and 1-on-1 aides for Lake County ESC (May 2014-present) and will be applying to sub in other districts for this coming academic year as well. As a nanny I would: plan short & fun tutoring sessions; care for pets; do light housework; make some dinners; and drive the kids around! I have also babysat during the school year for school-aged children and younger siblings where I provided homework help, snack, meals and fun activities! Being employed as an assistant teacher, a 1-on-1 aid and a lead daycare teacher has broadened my horizons more than imaginable. I have the following certifications: CPR and first aide. Most of these jobs have required fingerprinting, so you can be sure I have a clean background. I am engaged to a wonderful father of a 6yo lively boy. Unfortunately, we do not get to see his son as often as we would like to, since he lives in Erie, PA. 2-3 weekends a month I will be unavailable for this reason. With coaching and reffing my evenings fill up quickly. My days fill up too, so pencil me in before it's too late! Because I have extensive classroom experience, have experience working with youth in a sports setting, am in college for early childhood education and years of other qualifying experience with children of all ages, I may be your perfect fit
Trust & safety
We encourage parents to conduct their own screenings using the background check tools. See what each of the badges covered, or learn more about keeping your family safe by visiting the Trust & Safety Center.
