I am an RN and I exclusively provide overnight infant care so mom can sleep. When you are exhausted and not getting enough sleep, I will care for our baby to help you adjust. While you sleep I take care of feeding, diapering, cleaning and preparing bottles, initiating and keeping a schedule, baby laundry, keeping nursery tidy, and breastfeeding support. Overnight care typically starts around 9-10 p.m. until 6-7 am, ranging from one night a week to as many as seven nights a week.
