Hello! I have experience caring for children in multiple capacities; most recently working as a nanny for one family for the past 3 years! The children were 5 and 8 when I began and 8 and 11 this summer when I transitioned out of the role. Additionally I have been nanny for little girl from 18 months to 2.5 yrs, as well as have other babysitting babysitting for children ranging from around 15 months to 7 years, as well as a non-verbal autistic 9 year old boy who required special care. Additionally I have worked with children in educational capacities as a camp counselor and tutor, as well as a year as a classroom assistant and English teacher to children 1st-5th grades (ages 6-11) in public schools in France. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. I love to read stories, sing songs, or do fun, active things with children and I believe genuine play in some of the most important learning a child can do, but I also have plenty of experience with tutoring, helping with schoolwork, and engaging kids in educational games and activities as well. I find that of course they love it too! From diverse work experience, I've gained a true sense of professionalism and am courteous, dependable, organized and highly value good communication. I am open and flexible to accommodating the specific needs of your family including helping with meals or cleaning/tidying and other housework, transportation, pick-ups/drop-offs, etc!
