I have been volunteering in my church nursery for 8 years now! I have mainly worked with infants and 1-year-olds. I also worked at the Institute of Child development on the Norman Campus of OU for my early childhood class with children 3-4 years old. There I prepared snacks, implemented positive discipline techniques, and encouraged self discovery and learning through play. I am also currently tutoring a first grade student in reading, and have had many other tutoring experiences. Children are my passion! I enjoy spending time with children and coming up with fun activities for them to do! I am currently 20 years old and I am a Junior at OU majoring in Elementary Education and adding a certification in Early Childhood Education. All that I have left is my pre-internship and my student teaching!
