My name is Rebecca High. I'm an older woman, with two grown children, one boy and one girl. Both children are grown, married and have children of their own. I have six grandsons, three from my daughter, three from my son, and one granddaughter from my son. Their ages range from two months old to nine years old. They sure are fun, when I get to visit them, and I enjoy them so much! I have a lifetime of experience with children, as well as nanny experience. When I was 11 years old, I taught on our church bus ministry program until I graduated high school at age 17 years old. The children on the bus ranged from two years old to 12 years old. I taught flip chart stories, and sang action songs. In college, I taught 1st and 2nd grade at a local church. During my marriage, my Read more husband and I and our two small children traveled overseas as missionaries in Kenya, East Africa, for six years. There, I home-schooled my two children and a local National boy. I developed a children's Bible school from an orphanage. We named it CBS (Children's Bible School), and there were about 100 students ranging from age two to 12 years old. I used the same teaching methods as I did on the bus ministry. Today, that school is still running, and the children I taught are now grown and following the same teaching methods I taught them. I'm so proud of them!! We keep in touch via Facebook. After my divorce, I held an in-home, registered daycare for two years. Later, I moved to Houston, and there I worked as a nanny for three years. I have enjoyed the experience and loved, cared, taught and nurtured the children as I would my own. The children of all of these families ranged from newborn to 12 years. I became a caregiver because it's what I believe I am called to do, and I'm very comfortable with children and their parents. I'm very young at heart, and a fun, but responsible and reliable person.
