I have been a professional nanny for about 19 years. I stayed with my first family for 9 years, 3 years with my second, 1 year with my third, almost 3 years with my fourth family, and 9 months with my most recent family. My first job was as a nanny/mother's helper for a family with 2 sweet girls. I started when I was 18, and stayed with them for 9 years. The older girl was 3 months old when I first started, and 4 years later her sister was born. I watched them until they were ages 9 and 5. My next job was as a full-time nanny/"acting mommy" for 3 beautiful kids (2 girls, ages 10 and 7, and 1 boy, almost 3 years old). Sadly, I was needed because the kids' mommy had just passed away (when the baby was just 9 days old). My third was Read more being a full-time nanny for a sweet little man. He was 3 months old when I first started working and I stayed there for a little more than a year. My fourth was taking care a sweet boy. From the age of 3 months to 3 years old. And finally, I took care of a sweet baby girl from the age of 1 month old to 10 months old. I love being a nanny, and feel like I can be a strong "substitute" for Mommy and Daddy while they are unable to be with their child.
