Hello! My name is Michele, but everyone calls me Mishy. I am an experienced nanny and I love kids of all ages! In college, I worked for two at home day cares where we would care for 5-8 children from the ages of 4 months to six years old. After college, I moved to Tahoe to pursue skiing and all the other outdoor activities. I worked in the laboratory at the hospital, and in the planning department for the City of South Lake Tahoe. During peak tourist seasons such as Christmas and over busy summer weekends, I would a company call "All About Kids" where I was able to nanny for lots of families. I also worked for a nonprofit called "iFoster" where I helped foster kids connect to resources such as laptops for school, after school programs, consoling, and even worked with Disneyland to get huge discounted tickets! Out Read more of all the times I have worked with children, that job was the most challenging because some of these children had been through some horrible things. A lot of them opened up to me, and I became a mentor to them. I made a lot of connections with my youth, and I worked hard to help them as much as I could. I have recently relocated to Bend, so I can be closer to my family that lives in Seattle. I have a 18 month old niece, and a soon to be five year old nephew. I absolutely love them with all my heart, and they were my biggest push to be here. I currently tutor for a sophomore in high school, helping her with all subjects. I love being outdoors, and I'm a firm believer that if it's nice outside, we play outside. I limit TV to a minimum, and love getting creative with the kids. I love kids for their imagination and the total awe they have that we sometimes lose as adults. I would love to sit down with you and your family to discuss your needs and how I can meet them!
