Hello, my name is Ruth Heasley and I am interested in returning to a Nanny/Assistant career. I believe that I have much to offer any family. I am willing to relocate to almost anywhere, and am amenable to a live-in or live-out position. As a woman with extensive life experience, full-time motherhood and homemaker expertise, and administrative assistant skills, I feel equipped to meet any challenge that may arise. I consider myself to be honest, hardworking, responsible, compassionate, intelligent, outgoing, creative, organized, and musically and artistically inclined. Simple cooking/baking, arts and crafts, and teaching basic life skills are things I enjoy and I have played competitive sports in the past. I emphasize reading and education, and look for ways to teach in everything that I do. Taking children on outings to parks, libraries, museums, farms, factories, and theatrical events is one of my favorite activities. While I don’t believe all Read more TV is bad, I do believe it should be limited and carefully monitored. I have a great imagination and encourage children to use theirs. Children are like sponges and I prefer to fill the majority of their time with activities that will help them become well-rounded, confident, exceptional adults. I believe that end goal is best achieved when there is a good balance of work and play. If you instill satisfaction in achieving goals and pride in a job well done when they are young, it will benefit them all of their lives. I also think it is important to teach them to care for the needs of others through volunteer work. My paid childcare positions are comprised of babysitting, day care centers, and live-in Nanny posts, where I cared for children aged newborn to 13 years. In addition, through volunteering at my churches for the last 25+ years, I have worked with newborns up through Senior High ages, as well as organized various carnivals, banquets, and retreats. I have also raised two boys of my own. I have been pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Management but need to go back to work full-time. My preference is to revisit the Nanny/Assistant work that I loved so much in the past. Knowing that you want the best for your children, my goal as a nanny is to provide exceptional care (based on your guidelines) when you can't be there yourself, and to help you in any way that I can. I look forward to meeting my new family!
