I am a very experienced individual when it comes to working with kids! I have been employed in multiple youth programs through the Ann Arbor, MI YMCA including, teaching toddler art classes, working at a residential summer camp (for 7 years), and teaching art in after school programs in Detroit. Most recently I was invited to participate in an Artist and Residency Program through the University of Michigan where I worked with 140 third and fourth graders to create and permanently install a ceramic tile piece within the elementary school. It was very exciting for the school and the kids had a great time! Most of my experience is with youth between the ages of 5 and 16, boys and girls. I've also babysat independently over the years for infants and toddler and the previously mentioned age group. Getting to know and help guide these children in an an intentionally open, safe, and fun environment has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Saying goodby when I moved to Portland was quite hard, I will miss them dearly. Over the years I have worked with a diversity of children which has allowed me to respect the different philosophies that family practice. I am a compassionate, healthy, and consistent individual that always follows through and I takes pride in what I do. I am a reliable, responsible, fun, and hardworking young woman and I hope to work with your family in the near future!
