To begin with, I am very passionate about childcare and education, and have dedicated a substantial amount of my life to caring for children. From 13 years and upwards, I have been highly involved in childcare -- babysitting and doing childcare at my church. At the age of 15, I began nannying 3 children (ages 4-9 years old). After two years of college, I spent one year volunteering in Haiti, where for the majority of the year, I was the co-director of a preschool. I oversaw the daily lesson plans and preparation of the stations and co-taught a 3-year-old class. There was a total of 72 children in our preschool program, ages 2-5 years old. I was also involved in taking care of 11 babies in the orphanage. Now, for a little over two years, I have been employed as a Special Education Paraeducator for the school district.
