I began my career as a licensed childcare provider from 1977 to 1986 when I ran my own in home childcare business. I took care of children from infants to pre-school and also had before and after school care. After training to be a licensed Nanny including a practicum with a family in 2001, I worked for a family for five years as their live out Nanny. I formed a new in home childcare business in 2005 focusing on pre-school children and also before and after school care. I spent several years as a pre-school teacher with Head Start and enjoy working with 3 to 5 year olds. I have taken trainings on positive behavior strategies and age appropriate activities to enhance the social, emotional and physical development of the children in my care.

I have two boys ages 6 and 2.5 and Joslyn is so awesome with them. She follows my directions to a T, is the type of caregiver who sits down on the floor with your child shortly after she walks in the door and she so calm and zen, it's clear she's a seasoned pro. My 6 year old can be quite challenging, but she gives him his space and is able to redirect him so that he's more manageable. Also, once the kids are down, she folds our laundry with military precision and tidies up the areas she and kids were in. And when we get home, she gives us a very detailed play by play of our children's evening, which is my husband and I's favorite part. The stories she tells from her time with them are endearing and make us feel like we didn't miss anything "important" while we were away.
