Tempest N.

Tempest is amazing! Our 5-yo son is ADHD, and she really knows how to show a child compassion while still holding him accountable and responsible for himself. She keeps a child constantly busy and entertained, and leaves "progress notes" for the parents which detail what occurred during her stay. We are so thankful to have found her, and hope our kiddos can be somehow involved in the non-profit she is starting up. Just remember... we found her first, so we get first dibs!

Tempest is a one-of-a-kind sitter and person. She watched my son full time for a year after I returned to work from maternity leave, and our experience working with her was amazing. Tempest is diligent, responsible, organized, professional AND creative, fun, spontaneous, adventurous. She has a combination of traits that is hard to find and excellent for working with children of all ages. She is really present and full of energy--she puts her whole self into her work and it shows. If you were lucky enough to stumble onto her profile, I would HIGHLY recommend hiring her before someone else does!

She came up with interesting things to engage my boys with--she played games and did art projects with them, including a notable one where they went on a 'hike' in our backyard and took pictures of things, then made a collage book the next time she came. We all loved her, and were disappointed when she had to move away.

Tempest is extraordinarily gifted in caring for/nurturing children. She looked after my 20 mo. old on a on-going basis during Jan./Feb. 2009. It was a joy to have her warm personality, amazing creativity, endless energy and beaming enthusiasm. My little one was completely captivated... so well that I could do work at home without any interruptions. She is an amazing sitter… bringing age appropriate toys/books each time… as well as she made her way through the snowfall/freezing weather on several occasions. In summary... dependable, punctual and highly capable. Thanks for the great job!!!
