I started babysitting when I was eleven. Thinking back now, it makes me laugh to think why any parent would allow a sixth-grader to watch their children! However, I loved it and was pretty highly respected even at such a young age. Ever since I was a child myself, I have loved kids. I adore their smiles and I comfort their frowns. The number of kids has never really been an issue for me. My favorite group number is three, but that is really just a preference. From fifth-grade all the way through high-school I have worked in my church's nursery (50% of the time alone), taught Pre-school through fifth-grade classes, been a nanny to two or three kids at a time, and babysat up to ten children at once. I have worked early mornings, late nights, and all day long depending on the job. I have transported kids to Read more and from school or extracurricular events, done overnight jobs, and pretty much anything else in between. During my eighth-grade year I had a three day a week nanny job in which I stayed from approximately 9am to 5pm. During my sophomore and junior years of high-school (which I actually spent as a full-time college student at COCC) I babysat consistently three to four nights a week while also working part-time at Starbucks. Over the last year I have been strictly working at Starbucks while finishing my senior year in high-school. I would love to get back into a full-time nanny job.
