Greetings, I have been a babysitter/nanny since the 1970s both in pro bono and paid positions while leaving overseas (Morocco, Germany, France). I have taken care of newborns, toddlers, pre-teens and teenagers. I have also volunteered and worked in different settings at all levels (Pre-School to College) here in the U.S. since the 1990s. These settings have included public, parochial, and private schools (Homeschool, too). I have worked with Special Needs children (Autism, Asperger, ADD, ADHD, Remedial, other LDs) both in private and public institutions; I have gained further learning/experience in a Montessori childcare and Kindergarten school last year in Maryland. I have successfully completed a Child Development course at the University of Washington (where I completed my B.A., too) I have also completed another childcare course with the goal of obtaining my Senior Staff certification within a semester. Last but not least and more important than any degree or Read more certificate, I am always dedicated to the most important task at hand: children first, the rest second. Reading a book, playing a game, or seizing a magic learning moment cannot wait, or the opportunity is lost. I have previously been certified in First Aid and CPR.
