First I would like to begin by saying this isn’t just a job for me, this is a passion . I believe there is a lot of value in hands on learning rather then children just playing on computer/iPad for long hours of day. My passion for helping kids start to love learning and I believe that starts with leaning in a fun way with consistency and reinforcement. I am currently a student at Saint Joseph’s University majoring in children developmental psychology. My experience began 6 years ago when my newborn niece came to live with me and my mother, she was 3 months premature. I took on a lot of responsibility with her. This includes feeding, changing, and playing with her. I read to her every night, I helped her learn to say words and now she is reading to me! We accomplished learning to go the potty really Read more early on but we worked very hard everyday! I also have a nephew who is 2 years old whom I babysit, when needed. I have babysat my cousins overnight, ages 9 and 12. I am also a very organized person and without being asked, I will keep things clean and organized. I understand how much responsibility it takes for this type of job and I wouldn't risk anything, if I think that I am not able to handle it. Everyone says I am great with kids!
