My name is Kaitlyn, I am a sophomore in college, and I began babysitting when I was thirteen years old. I am the oldest of three girls, and both of my parents have always had full time jobs. This being said, I grew up with nannys which I think has been extremely beneficial when it comes to babysitting as I know not only what it entails on their part, but also know what is was like from a child's perspective. Once I got to a certain age, and my sisters and I no longer needed a babysitter/nanny, I began taking on the responsibility of looking after my two younger sisters, which is what initially led me to babysitting. Most of the families I babysit for have between 2-3 children with ages ranging from a couple of months to 14 years old. This past school year, I babysat for a family Read more of 3 (pre-k, 5th grade, and 7th grade) Monday through Thursday, picking up the kids at 2:45 and staying until 5 or 5:15 depending on whether or not they needed to be dropped off at various activities. This past summer I was a nanny for a family of 2 (8 and 12), and would babysit from 9am until 3 or 4pm three times a week. I've been babysitting every summer for the past three summers, however this was my first time babysitting during the school year as well. Before I started the more regular babysitting, I had three families; one with three boys, one with two girls, and another with two girls and one boy (ages 10,7,5 & 8,6 & 5,3,8 months respectively) whom I babysat for as needed. As an older sister, I love looking after children, taking them to do fun activities, play games, cook, or just spend time with them. I have lots of experience and plenty of references if desired!
