I am a mother of two grown daughters. My greatest joy has always been spending time with my children, and encouraging them to explore new experiences and gain confidence in their abilities. I have worked as a preschool teacher for two years, when my daughters could accompany me to school, and I have worked as a lunchroom and playground aide in a public elementary school. My current job, which I have held for the past 12 years, is the Receptionist/Assistant to the Division Heads of a PK-8 Independent school of 276 students. I am responsible for the daily attendance, lunch counts and dismissal plans of all of the students, and I pride myself in knowing not only the names of every student, but also their daily lunch preferences, as well as their dismissal plan for each day. My position is challenging, but the best part of my day is always Read more my interaction with the children. I have come to realize over the years, that my true love is working with children. I would welcome the opportunity to share my love of reading with children, and encourage them to open up their imaginations and explore their curiosity through books, while cultivating their love of reading.
