I am currently looking for a position with a family wanting a fun, creative, full-time nanny.  I’ve got a passion for the outdoors and would enjoy taking the children on walks and to the park.  I am also very much interested in art and music, practicing both.  I am also willing to cook and clean, as well as assist with homework and any other area that your family may need help in. My experience with children began in my own home as I have three younger sisters.  With my parents working full time and my mother going to school on top of that as I grew, it became my responsibility to help care for my sisters.  This included helping them to get ready in the morning, packing lunches, helping with homework in the evening and making family dinner during the week. In my senior year of high school, I took Read more a course in early childhood education.  Part of my curriculum was to work in a first grade classroom twice a week helping the children with extra studies and the teacher with activities.  This was the most rewarding aspect of my senior year and my entire high school career, having watched the children grow and develop even in the short time that I had the pleasure to know them.  In the summer 2006, I began working for Rita Thompson, as a mother’s helper.  When I began, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson had four children, ages from infant to eight years old, and were expecting a fifth.  We would read books, play outside, sing and play instruments, and play pretend.  Part of my job included doing chores such as the laundry, dishes, play room pick-up, and helping the children clean their rooms.  I also would assist Mrs. Thompson in her own chores as she was developing along in her pregnancy.  I am currently working full time at a very highly rated child care facility and am now looking for a new full or part time position as a nanny in the greater Carbon/Monroe county area.  I have no children of my own, but am looking forward to having them in the future.  I am active in music, playing the ukulele, singing, and writing my own songs.  Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is also very important to me.  I stay active and eat well, trying to eat mostly organic and well-balanced meals.  If my ideals and life choices are compatible to your family, I would try and help to provide guidance to my charges in the same.
