I am a 31 year old living in the Ft. Washington area.   I am currently in school part-time (classes are online, so there are no set class times), with a weekend day job.  While I have worked in an office job in the past, I am open to taking a full-time, long term position as a nanny, as I truly enjoy the experience of being a part of a child's life and watching them grow and flourish.  I have my own transportation and can take kids to activities.  I also have experience as a tutor, a college degree, and have travelled to 50 countries (which also means I've gotten good at adapting to new situations and improvisation).  I am mature and responsible, most importantly.  I understand that each family, and each child is unique and always try to respect the values, rules and child care philosophies of each parent and family.  That being said, my general philosophy is that while it is Read more obviously important to create a safe and happy environment for the children, it is equally important to do what I can to help minimize stress for  the parents I work for - whether that means cooking, starting some laundry while waiting for the kids to come home from school, or running an extra errand.  I also try and keep kids active - whether physically or mentally, as much as possible, as there is so much in life to learn and experience, and I want them to know the joy of embracing life.
