I am a mother of a two year old boy. I'm am also an aunt to 10 nieces and nephews. I have been caring for children since I took a safe sitter course at age 13. I love taking children outside to play and explore. I'm big into sensory based play. I love doing arts and crafts with children. I believe encouraging creativity and natural play. I also like doing various things in the community such as library story times, play dates and hikes, visits to parks, the local zoo and garden,farms, and playgrounds. I believe in socializing children naturally. I'm a big supporter of gentle/attachment parenting, baby carrying and breastfeeding. I try to minimize screen time and limit it to educational shows only.

Shammara watched my 21 month old son while I was visiting from out of town for a one day business trip. Shammara was very kind and communicated very well with me in advance of the trip so that I felt more comfortable before we arrived. Her home was clean and full of fun toys for our little boy. I was so glad we found her and would highly recommend for child care!

Very friendly, clean, kind. Our son really enjoys going to her house after school and playing with her son. He can't wait for warm weather to get outside. Plenty of things for him to do inside and outside. Always appropriate cartoons on TV. So glad we found her when we did!
