I have worked as a nanny/babysitter intermittently for over the last decade and enjoy creating enriching environments for and with children with a sense of humor, fun, and love of learning. I think engaging in play, working creatively, and reading with children are some of the best activities to foster imagination and wonder. I have worked with kids from infant to high school age, nannied for a wonderful family in Philadelphia for nearly three years (ages 8, 14) in addition two families as a student (ages 1, 5, 7); taught art courses for elementary, middle, and high school students at community centers, museums, and universities between 2008-2017; and worked as the Children's Evening Activities director and co-manager of the Glen Lake Yacht Club in Glen Arbor, MI, each summer from 2003-2005, where I organized weekly outdoor activities for children from age 5 to 15. Since 2015 I've taught courses in Read more the Art Department at the University of Pennsylvania as a lecturer and continue to nanny and babysit to fill in the gaps in addition, something I truly enjoy. I hold an MFA in Studio Art and Museum Studies from the University of Michigan and undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Spanish Literature. When not teaching or caring for children, I can be found reading, cooking, making artwork, or spending time in the outdoors. I look forward to hearing from you!
