My name is Katie and I just moved to the Philadelphia area from Washington, DC to begin graduate school at Drexel University. Before moving up to Philly, I was working at the Smithsonian Institution in their media department. Since, I'm in night school I am looking for a position in the Philadelphia area that doesn't involve sitting around at a desk all day. I have always enjoyed working with kids so I thought a nannying job might be a good transition into my new life in PA. I have several years of experience as a babysitter and a nanny with children of all ages. During every summer back in college, I nannied for a family in my neighborhood with a boy and girl (both under age 10) and spent each day with them, sometimes even going on vacation with their family. I also babysat for various families in the Fairfax, Read more Va area through my high school and college years. I also have experience tutoring children grades K-12 in all subjects. Overall, I feel very comfortable working with kids. I'm fun, responsible, and like to do activities to keep the kids occupied such as outings to museums, parks, and the pool if it's summer. I have a valid driver's license and my own car and I'm also CPR/Heimlich maneuver certified.
