Hi I am Tess. I was raised in a family of 6 kids and was therefore able to aid in watching and caring for my 3 younger siblings as we grew up together. That being said I started babysitting at a young age, beginning with my own siblings and moving on to my parent's friend's kids and then to other kids in the neighborhood. Though I have never been a nanny before, I feel as though I am qualified to do so based on my experience with children. I know that growing up can be the most fun and most frustrating of times all at once and I am prepared to see that through with creativity, care, and respect for the development of the individual. I have and will always place a high value on family as one of the most formative aspects of life, and would view it as Read more a privilege to be invited into a family with the trust of looking after your child/children. Since graduating in 2012 with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Biology, I have had a wide array of jobs. I worked at a school in north Philly with Americorps for a year, went to Oregon to intern as a forest ranger, to Florida to have a stint on a wildlife refuge and am currently wrapping up a semester in Belize where I have been part of a staff team for a study abroad program. Though my past three jobs have not directly corresponded with childcare, I have most often found an outlet where I can be interacting with, supervising, and caring for kids formally or otherwise. Finally I have my three year certification as a lifeguard as well as being certified in AED/First Aid/Adult, child and infant CPR for 2 years from the date of my training completion on 07/02/2014.
