Hello, As a retired pediatric/maternal child RN, I have been involved in the care of children for 20+ years. Also, I raised two wonderful children and recently provided full-time for my newborn grandchild 3 months to 4 years of age. I am current in professional pediatric/adult CPR certification. In the last two years I have served two families each with infants who are now toddler age. The first position was a Friday position while Mom was on maternity leave. On occasion I continue to care for this toddler for 2-6 hours of weekend time. For a week short of one year I have cared for my most recent family with an infant who is now a toddler. This was a three days per week position. This family just received acceptance to a daycare of their choice so unfortunately my time with them will end 8/28/15. This training not only emphasized the prenatal, postpartum needs and included infant/ toddler's health status including ongoing assessment, testing and intervention with a child's growth and developmental needs. One of my first RN positions was serving a classroom of 3-6 year old children with special health needs. My experience covers well child, developmental, and special needs. I wish to continue my role in providing attentive care to children and helping to ease the busyness of life for their parents. My goal is to support young families and provide a warm, stimulating environment for each child. Each moment of interaction with a child is important. I enjoy ongoing care and verbal interaction with each child promoting language and developmental skills. It is those interactions that over the years have provided me much pleasure. I continue to enjoy playing on the floor, climbing the play equipment at different parks in the city and providing safe care. I look forward to meeting you and your child. I am available days, evening and possibly prearranged weekend time. Because I don't wish for my references to be called frequently (both are professional families).
