Hello! My name is Abbey, and I recently relocated to the Philadelphia area after earning my Architecture degree. Before college, I spent five years as a professional childcare provider, starting as the lead teacher in an infant classroom and later moving up with my class into the toddler room (12–18 months). So, I have the most experience caring for children from 8 weeks to 3 years old. Childcare has always been a true passion of mine. I love getting to know each child's unique personality, supporting their development, and building meaningful relationships with both children and their parents. I truly believe there is nothing more rewarding than watching little ones reach new milestones, grow in confidence, and develop into their own unique selves. Leaving my childcare job to attend college was one of the hardest decisions I had to make, and I still make a point to visit my old Read more daycare babies whenever I'm back home! Now that I've finished school and am settling into Philly, I'm looking for a wonderful family to build that same lasting connection with through a full-time nanny position. Outside of nannying, I'm a small scale lighting designer/maker, and creativity is a big part of who I am. I love bringing that creativity into everyday life through hands-on activities, crafts, imaginative play, reading, and encouraging curiosity and a love of learning. My goal is to create a home environment where children feel safe to explore, create, and grow while becoming a dependable, long-term part of your family's support system. I am happy to help with general household tasks, meal preparation, and pet care, and I have reliable transportation. I am also Better Beginnings certified and trained in infant CPR and First Aid, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
