Hello everyone, my name is Tyquia; I am a very caring and energetic person. I love working with children, helping others, traveling, shopping and learning new things. I have 5 siblings, 4 brothers and 1 sister, and I am the oldest! I don't have any children of my own yet, but I do have a very loving mini poodle name Lulu. I have experience working with all age groups, I've worked in a professional daycare center (Tender Loving Kare) for 4.5 years. I was in the "infant room" (6 weeks-12 months) for three of those four and a half years. My ratio in the infant room was 4 to 1, I've also worked with a ratio of 6 to 1 & 15 to 1 (with older children). So needless to say I am very experienced and comfortable working with children, and multiples (if needed). I was employed as a full Read more time live-out nanny for two beautiful toddlers. I worked with them from the time they were six months until they turned 2. During our time together I taught them so much such as; sign language, identifying their colors, counting to 20, their alphabet, days of the week, identifying the weather, and sooooo much more! I even potty trained them both before they each turned two! I also prepared & cooked the babies meals, and did light housekeeping behind the children. I am currently a nanny to an awesome and bright 10 month old. I've been with her since she was 2 months old, and have helped her reach all the appropriate milestones for her age. At just ten months, she can identify some of her body parts, knows a few signs & words, and will be walking very very soon! During our days together we go out for walks and different things such as, story time at the library & in the park, kids gym called "Nest", and much much more! Sadly (for me) her name has been pulled off the waiting list of a daycare. which has forced me to look for another position. I am willing to provide you with great references and a full portfolio of all my certifications such as; CPR, First Aid, Administration of Medicine, Early Childhood Development and many others.
