I am currently a junior entering into my senior year at West Virginia University. I am studying speech pathology and audiology with an emphasis on working with children. My future plans are to be a speech pathologist for children in a therapy or physicians office setting. Previously, I was a full-time employee at Young World Daycare Center on Rochester Road for a summer term. During my time at Young World, I worked as an assistant teacher to the 2-4 year olds and school aged children. My duties included playing with the children, reading to the children, feeding, changing for swim time, and supervising swimming and playground activities. After my position at Young World was filled when I returned from school for the summer, I was forced to look for work elsewhere and I have not found a job as fulfilling.
