Having a younger brother 9 years younger than me, I have been babysitting from a young age. Being a CPR certified, I worked and babysat consistently throughout high school. In college, I fell in love with arts in education and working with children. I spent my class hours in elementary school classrooms working with children one on one, helping them learn and grow. Throughout my years in school, I volunteered with after school art programs in my college town which allowed the elementary and middle school students who attended to be creative and find ways to truly express themselves. I spent college summers nannying part time for families in my home town while also interning at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC with their summer arts education classes. During my last semester in college, I student taught in a middle school art room spending every day with about 100 students Read more teaching, exploring art and learning with them. I loved being able to share my knowledge and help them grow and shine in their own light. In December of 2013, I graduated with a degree in arts education. For the last 10 years of my life, I have spent my time working with children and loved every minute of it.
