Meet Erika

I am a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh now living in beautiful Highland Park. I love children and have experience with all age groups. My area of expertise is infant and toddler care, as I am an aspiring doula, midwife, and childbirth educator. I have spent the past few years babysitting for a few Pittsburgh families with young children, each job ending because the families relocated. My teenage years working as a summer camp counselor have shaped me as a leader, listener, and memory bank of fun songs and games! At camp I rose to the position of Counselor Training Director where I trained teens to become responsible counselors. At many points throughout my summers at camp I was responsible for the well being of up to 100 campers, ages 6-16. I spent a semester studying Cultural Anthropology in Northern India. In India, my main area of focus was Read more childbirth. I spent my time with children and pregnant mothers. Spending time with children in India gave me a new perspective on child care and taught me so much about myself and what I want to offer families and their children.
