Hello, My name is Merielle Stamm and I am 27 years old. I have 5 years of child care experience in educational settings, both formal and informal. I just got my masters in Agriculture and Extension Education. Two years ago I worked with two families as part time babysitter and nanny. I worked with 5 year old twins, helping them get ready for school in the mornings. During the afternoon I worked with three older children ranging from 10-16. I formed wonderful bond with each family and child. For the past three years, I have worked at an educational farm and nature sanctuary as a 4-H club leader, and camp counselor, leading their week long adventure trips throughout New England. On these trips, I teach the children natural history, camping skills and agriculture. After graduating college in 2014, I lived in Austin Texas and worked as an afterschool 4-H teacher Read more through the Americorps volunteer program. There I taught about natural resources, youth gardening and engineering. I'm a big believer in keeping kids engaged, active, outdoors and while fostering their creativity. I have worked with children of all ages, (kindergarten through high school) and vastly different backgrounds. I have experience with special needs children and can provide great references. Additionally, I have also babysat for my younger siblings and numerous families throughout high school. Throughout the years I have held certifications in lifeguarding, wilderness first aid and CPR, but they are currently expired. I also own a safe vehicle, have car insurance and safe driving record.
