My name is Sonya. I'm 25. I'm talkative, friendly, humorous and energetic. I enjoy being outdoors, singing and sports. I'm a mom of two girls (2 and 4 years old). I'm sure you're wondering if that makes me an expert In frozen, dolls, pretend play, crafts, nail painting and potty training. As a matter of fact, it does! :) I have my bachelor's degree in psychology (graduated in 2011 from Penn State). I worked in a daycare from 2009 to 2011. I worked most in the infant room and toddler room. Job duties included planning crafts, making bottles, changing diapers, assisting with potty training, singing children music, planning activities, soothing sad children and so much more. I also worked as an early head start parent educator from 2011 to 2014 working with pregnant mom's and children birth to three years of age. I educated parents on pregnancy and child development. I have worked along side physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. I currently work in the mental health field working with children and their families, providing various interventions during the treatment period. As you can see, I have an array of experience with children, and if you followed my timeline you'll see that I have come full circle; from directly caring for children to working with children through their parents back to seeking to directly work with children again. Reason being, I miss it terribly! I excel when working with children and I'm equipped to work in this field! I'm looking for a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
