I am currently a junior at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. I'm majoring in Middle School Education and am concentrating in science and social studies. I have been working with kids for eight years now, whether it be babysitting, nannying (live out and live in), volunteering at a daycare, tutoring, coaching sailing to children ages five to seventeen, or working as an after school counselor, substitute teacher, and teacher's assistant at a private elementary and middle school called Charleston Day School. This summer, I will be an au pair for five boys ages two to twelve in France and Italy! I am certified in CPR, for both children and adults, as well as First Aid, for children and adults. I have also taken a babysitting course put on by the American Red Cross. In addition, I do have a reliable car and have driven kids many times. Read more I have experience with allergies, language barriers, tutoring, cooking, and traveling with families. I have a resume and references that I can send via request. Some past responsibilities while babysitting have been to entertain the children, help with homework, cook meals, bathe the children, put the kids to bed, clean laundry, etc. I prefer to be active with the children, rather than watching television the whole time. For example, I love to bring kids to museums, the playground, out for ice cream, on a walk or bike ride, swimming, do arts and crafts, play board games, and bake. I am very flexible and responsible! Right now, I am looking for a babysitting/nannying opportunity for next school year, since I am about to leave to be an au pair in Europe for a three months.
