Hello! My name is Danielle McManus and I have over 13 years of experience providing childcare- for the last 7 of those years I have been both a Mother’s Helper as well as a Nanny. I am originally from Richmond, VA! I moved to Charleston, SC (1.5 years ago) to attend The Art Institute. I have since relocated to the Upstate area to be closer to friends as I have no family in the state and will be attending school online. My primary objective is to keep your children safe and properly cared for while helping you keep your peace of mind! What makes me good at what I do? I am dedicated, honest and trustworthy, energetic, experienced, resourceful, strategic, and organized. Not to mention, able to go with the flow while upholding the standard of a visionary leader. Plus, I know my way around the kitchen! I became a Read more nanny because I simply love children. They are an open book, and there is always something to learn. I treasure the fun as well as the day to day challenges. I ended my time a year ago as as a Nanny for two pretty awesome kids! I had the privilege of having about 6 years with them; so I truly consider them family. Time sure flies when you're having fun! I value relationships. That has led me to being involved with youth both inside and outside of the home. Because of which, I have also previously volunteered at elementary schools and participated in the local RIF- Reading is Fundamental program while in college. In addition, I have experience working with children in the retail industry. Owning my own children’s boutique someday is a goal I am striving toward. In terms of safety, I do know CPR/First Aid (although it is currently expired, I do have a certification ). I have both a clean background as well as driving record, and full coverage car insurance. Unfortunately I cannot do pets, because I have allergies related to fur and dander. Overall, I believe that I would be a good fit to work with your family because I not only have close to 15yrs of experience working with children (infants to teenagers), but I am also at a median age to where I can look after them reliably, but they also won’t perhaps feel intimidated.
