I am a 22-year-old college graduate with a passion for working with children. I have experience as a mother's helper, babysitter, and a nanny, as well as a year of teaching internships in middle and high school education. I graduated from Winthrop University this May with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in theatre. Prior to college, I took classes in early childhood education. There, I was able to work with a class of two and a half to 5-year-olds while learning about early childhood development. I designed and taught mini lessons in science, reading, music and art. As far as infant experience goes, Ihave experience in regular and cloth diapering, preparing bottles of formula and breast milk, getting babies on feeding and nap schedules, and taking infants on outings to places like the library and the park. I have also worked for my aunt and uncle as both a babysitter Read more and a nanny to their three children many times over the years. As a nanny, I was responsible for making breakfast and lunch, light housekeeping, tackling any tantrums that came along, and getting them prepared for sports/camps. Being able to work for family gave me the opportunity to explore and gain valuable experience in tailoring childcare strategies to different children.
