Hi, my name is Sarah. I am 39 years old and have cared for children since I was 16. After graduating high school I was employed as a nanny of 4 boys ranging in age from 6 weeks to 7 years old. It is a very interesting story as to how I was chosen to care for those four precious boys. The 7-year-old was very shy, timid, and very uncomfortable around anyone other than family. Well the day I was interviewed for the position that precious 7-year-old came and sat down beside me, wrapped his arm around my shoulder told his mom that I was hired and asked her to please stop asking me questions so he could perform a song for me on his paper towel roll guitar. That sealed the deal, and from that day on those boys are the very reason I love and adore children the Read more way that I do. Every since March 1999 I have been caring for children through many different outlets; i. e., nanny, owned licensed daycare, and operated in home daycare. All the families I have worked for are like my extended family. To me that is part of the job, and I cannot imagine it any other way. My goal is to support the parents and become a team in caring for their little ones in anyway that I can. I give my all and devote myself to the children in my care. I am a fun-loving nanny that is not afraid to get dirty, play in the rain, crawl around on the floor, or use my imagination. I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible playing, going for a walk, exploring nature, or just having a simple picnic. I hope that you will consider me for the position in caring for your children. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. I have completed and passed a SLED background check and Central Registry Check. The Central Registry check is a country wide Child Abuse and sex offender background check. I have my Pediatric/Adult CPR/First Aid certification. I can also provide many letters of recommendation as needed. I do have 5+ years experience working with special needs children of all backgrounds.
