I am a child care professional I'm required to provide physical and psychological support to children in the absence of their parents. I do this by directly looking after both infants and toddlers who are too young to stay home by themselves. This may include changing nappies, preparing food, feeding and bathing along with ensuring that any developmental needs are taken care of. I'm not a mere babysitter; I am responsible for much more than that. While a babysitter is require to look after children for a certain time period only, childcare providers are concerned with social and developmental needs of children over a span of time which means that they spend more time with them as compared to babysitters.
