Hello, my name is Marenda Lanier-McFerrin. I currently work at a preschool as a Co-Director/ 2k teacher. I have been there 2 years in August. I absolutely love children of all ages. Before I started working at the preschool, I worked as a nanny for a family of 3 kids. I worked for them for 2 years. Before that family, I worked for another family of 2 kids for 2 years. With the experience I have from working at a preschool, I can offer an education for children. I use a curriculum at the preschool and have tweaked it to make it my own. Not only can I offer a child the care and attention they deserve but I can also offer a child an education so they do not go to public school without any knowledge or basic skills. Me and my husband are considering trying for our own child. I have always had a passion for working with children. I am currently enrolled at USCA for a business degree so I may further my skills and knowledge, and maybe one day own my own business. I have Rhuematoid Arthritis, which is why I am leaving the preschool. With RA my immune system is very weak and compromised. I can be around 1-4 kids and not get sick, but unfortunately I am around 90+ children a day, so my immune system can not fight off all the germs.
