I have been working with preschool-aged children for the past five years. I have an aptitude for young children; in some ways I am a large child myself, and I believe that part of helping children grow is understanding how they see and think about the world around them. I am proactive about safety and supervision--it's better to stop accidents before they happen, versus reacting to them afterwards. I have worked in two daycares, spent a year as a personal nanny for two families, and am currently employed as a behavioral specialist, providing therapeutic care to behaviorally challenged preschool-aged children who have experienced various degrees of abuse, neglect, and trauma. I am first-aid/CPR certified. I have experience with children ages 6 months to 10 years. I am experienced in curriculum building (creating and executing lesson plans) and am familiar with developmental milestones appropriate to varying ages.
